New Season for Biggest Loser

Now that the new season for the Biggest Loser has begun, we should all start hearing about people who are trying to lose weight along  with the contestants.  The Biggest Loser is best known for helping people to drop body fat fast or as this blog suggests, very quickly.

Losing Weight With an Injury

Nearly every diet or exercise program that you begin comes with instructions to check with your doctor first to be sure that you are physically able to do that program. Most people who consider themselves healthy ignore that warning. Please don't.

Sometimes you have problems of which you are not even aware. I did ignore the warning. I did have an unknown problem. I now am recovering from an injury. Unknown to me some bone spurs had developed under my kneecap. That is another way of saying that I have Arthritis. Even though supplementation had kept plenty of cartilage in there those bone spurs can wreak havoc if you try to do any high impact aerobics.

After losing 12 pounds on The Biggest Loser Diet and doing some moderate exercises, I decided to kick it up a bit.

Does the Biggest Loser Diet Work

A lot of people have watched the television show The Biggest Loser.  On this show you see contestants dropping insane amounts of weight each week.  In real life it is usually considered good if you can drop 1 to 2 pounds a week.  My friends and I have discussed this and we concluded that yeah if all that you have to do is exercise and diet 24/7 then, of course, you can lose huge numbers. In the real world, we did not think that it could be done safely. The Biggest Loser has all kinds of professionals including doctors to make sure that their contestants lose safely.

Sometime last summer I decided to order some of the Biggest Loser Diet Books to see if their diet would work for me. Like most people I was only half hearted about my commitment. The rules that made up the diet were not that difficult and the plan looked really healthy so I gave it a try.

Last night I had a dog that pooped all over the floor and then the furnace hung up and would not turn off. Now that could be a source of frustration, wouldn't you say?
