Weight Loss Tips for Holidays and Social Events
Ok, Now that you have resolved to lose weight and get rid of your excess body fat, how are you going to handle all those birthdays? There are a lot of weight loss programs, products, and systems that you could use to drop those pounds. However, unless you are committed to the end result your efforts will be short lived. Are you going to have to go into hibernation or become anti-social to achieve your goals? No, no, absolutely no!
Remember when you were little and your mother fussed at you for snacking before mealtime? This will help you now. This time however, you must plan those snacks with low calorie foods that will simply take the edge off your appetite. A good combination would be to snack on low fat protein and veggies. Cottage cheese, mozzarella sticks, or yogurt along with some green peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, or celery are great choices. Leave some room to eat at the party but let it be controlled eating. Preparing ahead will help you. If you have some cake or ice cream keep your portions small and there is no harm done. Here is a plan that actually uses your favorite foods.
Fact is, if you will just plan ahead to eat some of your favorite foods (in moderation, of course) you are much more likely to stick to your chosen way of eating (diet) than if you can never vary from it.
Today is SuperBowl Sunday. Be prepared before your guests arrive or if you are the guest then prepare before leaving home. It is ok to be the one to take some veggies to snack on. Enjoy yourself but keep things in moderation. Decide beforehand what you will and won't do and stick to it.
